Anthony and Michele’s wedding was a breathtaking celebration of love, held at the beautiful wedding venue La Valencia Hotel in the beach town of La Jolla, Southern California. With the stunning Pacific Ocean as their backdrop, this oceanfront wedding was the perfect blend of romance and fun—ideal for their beach-inspired celebration.
The couple chose a soft, romantic color palette of pastel pinks, blues, and yellows. Colors that perfectly complemented the natural beauty of the venue. These pastel wedding colors created an enchanting and serene atmosphere, making their special day feel even more magical. The subtle tones blended seamlessly with La Valencia's elegant spanish architecture and stunning ocean views, setting the tone for a truly unforgettable wedding.
For their ceremony, we designed a half-circle floral arch filled with lush blooms in the same pastel tones. The arch served as a stunning focal point for the couple’s vows in a beautiful and intimate wedding ceremony. To make the most of their floral arrangements, we repurposed the reception centerpieces as aisle markers for the ceremony—an elegant and sustainable design choice. Michele and Anthony also added a thoughtful touch by gifting their guests custom wedding fans, which we placed on each ceremony chair. These not only served as practical favors for a warm beachside wedding but also added a personalized element to their beautifully styled ceremony.
As mentioned earlier, we repurposed our centerpieces as aisle markers, designing them specifically with this dual purpose in mind. Each table had Soft taper candles in pastel pink, blue, and yellow added a dreamy touch of color to the setting. As a beautiful personal touch, the couple created personalized acrylic bookmarks as their wedding favors. Each one was thoughtfully engraved with a guest’s name and placed at their seat. A meaningful detail that also doubled as a lovely place card.
For a truly unique grand entrance, the couple made their way in accompanied by a lively Mariachi band.
Notes from Michele and Anthony :
Working with Kris was THE most important and the best decision we made for our wedding.
If you are in this part of wedding planning and are looking for a planner, we will do you a huge favor - stop right here and schedule a meeting with her. I think we read a review like that when we were planning and they were 100% right. Honestly, just book her now before she’s gone.
If you need more details, my wife and I live apart and we were planning from different cities and time zones. She somehow made what could have been a stressful, overwhelming process feel effortless and organized. She didn’t just help plan our wedding—she really listened to our wishes and brought it to life. For us, the most important thing was to have the ceremony really special and intimate and then the reception to be a really fun party. The day itself was flawless thanks to her planning.
She was open to our ideas, but also came with suggestions of her own on how to bring various vendors to match what we wanted. Her vendor recommendations were top-notch, and she has an incredible instinct for matching couples with the right people. Her creativity and attention to detail went far beyond what we ever expected. Even from afar, she was always on top of things with deadlines and making sure we felt like everything was handled.
We also had her as our wedding day coordinator. On the wedding day, we were able to be fully present and from all our planning conversations, we felt confident knowing she had everything under control. 10/10 we would hire her again, and in a heartbeat for any future event. Thank you Kris from the bottom of our hearts. We appreciate you more than you know.
